Raser Technologies: Making Geothermal More Usable

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009

Experts agree on a few things about geothermal energy.

Pros:

1. Geothermal is a very clean energy, with zero emissions and zero waste.

2. Because it is from the earth’s own energy, the resource is stable, indefinite and regenerating.

3. Resources can produce abundantly amounts of energy

Cons:

1. Geothermal is expensive. Both locating viable resources and building geothermal plants is incredibly front heavy – capital-wise.

2. Because the temperature of a geothermal resource must be very high, it could be considered a limited resource.

San West Overruns Target . . . and Reverses

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009

As expected, San West, Inc. (OTCBB: HBSY) had some good follow through today, hitting and exceeding our 35 cent price target. The stock traded above yesterday’s $0.31 high nearly all day and at one point spiked all the way to it’s 2009 high of $0.51 only to get clubbed in the final hour of trading to close at the daily low of $0.2999.

In the month of July, San West share prices have run from a low of 8 cents to today’s high print of 51 cents or 637%. Even at today’s close some lucky buyers are sitting on 300 – 375% gains. With profits like these, selling is to be expected.

Because the sell off occured in the final hour, it is hard to tell what to expect tomorrow morning. Our guess is that the share price will consolodate again like last week after the first break out and trade in the $0.25 – 0.35 range before its next more. Buying the low end and selling the upper end of the range may be the right move until the market tips its hand.

Up 100% From Our First Alert!

San West Chart - 0720

Today, San West, Inc. announced a 35% increase in parts and service revenue from its wholly owned subsidiary, Buggy World, despite a waning economy in what some consider a recreational industry. WhileBuggy World competitors rely of sales for revenue, Buggy World operates a highly successful repair shop where customers can repair and improve performance of their off road vehicles with aftermarket upgrades such as the Buggy World signature Turbo Kit.

In the press release, Bryan Britton, GM ofBuggy World said, “. . .we have seen a surge in repair and service of existing buggies. This service is less common in the market and our shop is one of the best in Southern California, which gives us an exceptional edge. This also builds our reputation and client base for when the new sales market strengthens.”

Find out More on San West hereUltimately, the success of the Buggy World repair shop may be the tipping point that allows Buggy World to overtake competitors who are struggling due to dwindling sales. Because of its business model, not only is Buggy World surviving in this economy, it is thriving! And that’s the kind of business model we like! Thank your customer, tell them how valuable they are to you, but don’t go overboard. Insincerity is easy to spot.

Sincerely,
Gregory Brandt
